Entry-level IT support + network technician / Boynton Beach, Florida

I troubleshoot everyday IT problems and build networks at home.

Through freelance support, I have set up home routers and fixed connectivity, hardware, and DNS problems. I also run a three-node Proxmox lab and practice Cisco IOS because I want the deeper network skills behind the fix.

Three small IT problems, isolated quickly

  • Windows
  • Ethernet
  • PC hardware
  • DNS

Three real freelance support requests: a 100 Mbps Ethernet link, a no-boot memory change, and a DNS resolution failure.

What this proves
  • 3 real freelance requests
  • 1 to 5 minute fixes

Migrating a flat lab into role-based VLANs

  • OPNsense
  • Cisco SG300
  • Netgear GS728TP
  • 802.1Q

I moved a flat homelab into 10 role-based VLANs, migrated more than 20 virtual workloads, and restored three-node Proxmox quorum after a switching cutover broke two node paths.

What this proves
  • 10 role-based VLANs
  • 3/3 cluster quorum restored

A simplified view. Public enough to discuss, specific enough to mean something.

The rack is where theory gets inconvenient.
